A Book & A Beast

  • Story time with a special animal encounter
    • Fridays at 10:30 a.m. in the Discovery Center
    • Geared toward young children (adult supervision required)
    • 2019 Season begins Friday, April 5th.





Once Upon a Farm

  • Come on out for our second year of hosting FREE educational programming for kids! This year we will be going on an adventure in the world of farming and farm animals! Every second Saturday of the month starting in May we will be hosting an educational program for children ages 5-12. Each session will have an animal encounter, craft, and special farm surprise!
    • 10:30 am - 11:30 am
    • Second Saturday every month starting May 11th
    • Meeting in the education building & moving throughout the zoo

  • May 11th
  • June 8th
  • July 13th
  • August 10th





Hutchinson FrogWatch USA Chapter

The Hutchinson Zoo and the Dillon Nature Center have partnered together to create a Hutchinson FrogWatch USA chapter! The survey season begins in April with volunteer training to be held March 21st & 28th from 2-4 PM at the Taylor Shady Lane Cabin.
